The Ascoval steel, in North of France, is threatened with closure. The 300 employees have just one year to find a buyer. The director films workers, trade union leaders and executive officers over such long period of discussions.
To become competitive and save jobs, costs have to be reduced urgently. The workers have agreed to give up some social achievements. But, the point is to convince the investors and the main steel customer to support a recovery plan… Beyond public statements, who has a vested interest for the steel survival?
