In the Autumn of 1878, Vincent Van Gogh sets off to preach to the poor in the mining community located in the Borinage area, in the Wallon province – Belgium. He spends two years in dire straits before growing aware of what fate has in store for him: becoming a painter. This choice is bound to transform the history of his life and the history of painting forever. Key elements for the storytelling are the letters the young Van Gogh sends regularly to his brother.
