In French Guyana, Chestnut-bellied seed finches are domesticated for singing competition. They have become part of the Guyanese folklore. Melvin is training his bird Biellot in order to win the local competition in which a large audience will take part. Following the preparation and competition, this documentary highlights a recently born tradition that impacts the environment, by reducing the numbers of these birds in the wild.
