Around the planet there are hundreds of communities, generally called Indigenous People, which dwell far from civilization. They have managed to live in harmony with their ecosystems for centuries, be it in the mountains, in deep forests or on remote islands. Today, several communities are sharing their traditional know-how with scientists and researchers, in order to protect their territory from current threats.
Each episode presents one community: the Nenets, the Mokens (sea gypsies), the Arhuaco, the Kalahari as well as the Embera.
